My 5 Favorite Spring Dresses For 2021 (So Far)

‘TIS THE DAMN SEASON, Y’ALL for midi, mini, and maybe maxi dresses but like it has to be a really special maxi for me to wear it. Everyone is coming out of hibernation and with COVID-19 vaccines being administered and made more widely available daily, there’s a hope in the air that I certainly haven’t sensed or felt in over a year. Besides all the non-materialistic positives, can we talk about the hope that maybe, just maybe, we’ll have a reason to put actual clothes on this spring/summer?! That small sliver of hope is enough to reignite my shopping passion* (*problem), and I’ve started with easy, fun, and affordable springtime dresses.

I need you to forgive me for the insanely blurry and low-res images. Shit’s hard out here with you’re using front-facing camera and a timer. Also, it was overcast this morning. I promise to do better next time, but for now, look past the pixels and give these 5 very cute spring dresses the full ogling they deserve, okay? Thinkyew.

Because half my closest is packed up, I didn’t have the exact shoes or accessories I would normally pair with this adorable yellow spring dress, but that’s neither here nor there. This Target dress is so unique, and its sleeves and pockets really bring it home. Wear it for Easter, a date night, or on a random Wednesday! Looks cute paired with sneakers (as shown), heels, slides, whatever.

To be transparent, this grey sleeveless bodycon dress is actually by Leith for Nordstrom several seasons ago. HOWEVER, I found it’s doppelgänger for much cheaper via Amazon! I love how much you can do with a simple form-fitting dress like this and how good a light blue denim jacket looks with it. Pair it with sneaks and a fun Fucci (fake Gucci) headband for some flair and you’ve got yourself a look!

RED MADEWELL DRESS

THE DRESS. Fashion Jackson found this dress, I saw it and immediately bought it. Like dropped everything I was doing to ensure I got my hands on one. It runs a little big, so if you’re between sizes, size down (I’m between a 4-6 and went with a 4). It’s the perfect mix of classy and fun; you can wear it for a family-friendly occasion or for a day of Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas. The puff sleeves, pockets, and length play so well with each other. Love love love.

DRESS | HEADBAND | PURSE | SNEAKERS

I love a babydoll dress. Why it’s called that, I’m not sure but I love them nonetheless. This one from Target is so airy and easy to wear. It has a very subtle, cute print all over it from some added uniqueness and is great on its own or layered up with a jacket (as pictured). It also comes in like 10 other colors if you’re more of a solid color type of gal. For $20, it’s more than worth it. Get two! Or three! I don’t care!

DRESS | JACKET | HAT | SNEAKERS

It’s oversized. It’s a lot of material. And it’s perfect. Sadly, this ASOS dress is currently basically sold out BUT I found a few alternatives that are linked within this picture on my LTK page. This one specifically is amazing and I sort of love it more than the one I have, tbh. This style of dress is springtime personified. With a cool hat and great sandals, it’s like farm girl chic and I love it.

Hopefully this collection of looks has inspired you to treat yourself to a cute spring dress or two because, girl, you deserve it.
