I haven’t posted on my blog since April (I’ve moved most of my thoughts, feelings, and links over to Substack where you should totally join me — the water is more than fine. It’s lovely!). At this point, I’m only using it for Gift Guides (COMING SOON) and emergency situations like the fact that Madewell is 50% off today!

Madewell is number one go-to brand for just about everything. I would venture to say that 25% of my closet is Madewell, 25% is Target, 25% is Anthropologie, and the remaining 25% is a mix of retailers. I was just there this past weekend in Austin, Texas, buying things for both myself and for Zac (they have a Madewell Mens in Austin) and feel the URGENT NEED to share these new buys with y’all because they are really, truly, very good and I want you to capitalize on this 50% off deal while it’s happening!

Green Studded Claw Clip: At 50% off, this clip is right below $10 and more than worth it. It was a last minute buy of mine this weekend, and I’m so glad I got it. It’s festive yet not on-the-nose and can be worn outside the holiday season as well! Super cute.

Long Sleeve T-Shirts: Madewell’s Softfade line only churns out the softest tees and their long sleeve version is no exception. It only comes in two colors, which bums me out because they are the PERFECT long sleeve t-shirts and I want one in every color of the rainbow, but I settled for the dark grey and cream/white. I’m a medium if that helps you!

Gold Bow Earrings: I didn’t get these but I want them. I love a feminine bow earring for the holiday season, and these come in gold or silver!

Red Slip Skirt: THIS SKIRT. So it runs HUGE, guys. I am a 10 or size 29/30 in pants and I needed a 4 in this (we LOVE vanity sizing!). The 6 could’ve worked, too but it had a little too much material in the butt area. I would say size down two if not three sizes. The red is so good and the skirt itself is SO comfortable. No zippers, no buttons — it slips right on!

Long Sleeve Ruched Shirt: I normally stay away from anything ruched because it reads very 90s to me (and not in a good way), but I had a feeling this would look really good on and I was right. My sister got the Antique Rose color and I got the Smoky Spruce, both in a large (it’s a form-fitting shirt)! It’ll be a fabulous layering piece during the colder months.

Black Bow Earrings: Again, didn’t get these but want them. This is a louder bow moment, and I’m here for it! I just love novelty earrings.

Black Alpaca-Blend Cardigan: One thing about me — if it has drop shoulders, I’m out. My shoulders are too broad as it is to wear sweaters and shirts that accentuate that, which is why I LOVE this cardigan so much. No drop shoulder — just a very classic silhouette and the alpaca-blend makes it SO light. It’s a perfect layering cardigan to wear under a heavy coat or on its own. I got the medium!

Mens Shirt-Jacket: ALERT THE PRESS: I found out from the store manager in Austin that a Madewell Mens is opening here in Dallas at Northpark Mall in Spring 2024. This is amazing news because their clothes are incredible and look great on Zac. This green shirt-jacket is manly and woodsy and cute and comes in a few other colors!

Mens Marled Gray Sweater: If it’s marled and it’s gray and it’s a sweater, I want it or, at the very least, I want it for Zac. I saw this and immediately grabbed it and set it at the register to keep it safe while I looked around. Spoiler alert: It looks fantastic on Z. And it comes in a few colors so you can choose the one that brings out your baby’s eyes (I said that in a stupid voice. Please don’t take it seriously)!

Mens Athletic Slim Garment-Dyed Jeans: Zac is in dire need of new jeans and, because I know his size, I was able to grab him these in the green and the dark dark blue (Ink). If your man has big ass quads, the Athletic Slim is where its at fit-wise. I also got Zac the 32” length so they hit right at his ankles. They look SO GOOD. Highly recommend if your man will let you buy him jeans!

Honorable Mention

I’ve owned the Corinne Lugsole Loafers in both the black and brown for years now and genuinely look forward to the fall and winter so I can wear them daily. They are SO comfortable, so timeless, and I highly recommend grabbing them while they’re 50% off! True to size.

I just added the Dimes Kitten-Heel Boot to my shoe arsenal and WOW — they are even better than I expected. The heel is so small (good for me, someone who hardly wears heels) and comfortable to walk on, and these look so chic on. I love the combo point/square toe and the back zipper. They are fabulous and true to size!
