The Best Way To Refresh 3A/3B Curls
Water.
Styling product.
Diffuser.
That’s it.
I have been trying to figure out how to refresh my curls for as long as I’ve been trying to figure out my curls, period. I finally accomplished the latter in 2020, but still had yet to conquer how TF to revive them 2, 3, 4 days into a wash without having to do the whole nine yards wash day routine (every curly girl’s most dreaded day of the week, TBH). I’ve watched so many videos and tried so many methods, none of which have ever left me feeling satisfied with the outcome of my tendrils. Until now.
Monday morning, I went back to the drawing board and decided to keep things really simple. I know enough to know that re-wetting your curls is imperative for a refresh as curls are naturally very dry and crave moisture. I know using a bit more product to reshape and reactivate your curls’ shape is important, too. And I know that diffusers can help with the drying process even though I prefer not to use them because I’m stubborn and lazy. So I took all this knowledge and did something with it, and by God—it’s something that worked.
