Sephora Fall Savings Event Favorites
A little something about me: I follow basically 0 influencers. The ones I do follow, I either write for them or legitimately actually find them enjoyable. I don’t hate-follow because what a waste of time and energy, ya know? Anyway, my whole point in saying this is that I’ve seen next to NOTHING in regard to Sephora having a sale event starting tomorrow (October 30, 2020). As always, the sale is tiered out with specific dates for specific tiers to shop with specific discounts so, allow me:
ROUGE members
Can shop 10/30-11/9 for 20% off
VIB members
Can shop 11/3-11/9 for 15% off
INSIDER members
Can shop 11/5-11/9 for 10% off
You have to spend a certain amount of money over time to reach Rouge and VIB membership, BUT anyone can be an insider just by signing up. Now, back in April during Sephora’s Spring Sales Event, I rounded up not only my picks but also my sister’s picks and my mom’s picks. I mean, we Golden girls have good style, and I figured you guys would want to know what each of us were interested in. So I’m doing the same this time around in hopes you guys will be enlightened and find something you needed or didn’t know you needed but now need.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in “So Red”—I love a red lip. I know many aren’t comfortable wearing it or perhaps it’s not their color, but it is mine. Charlotte has her matte lipstick line and this K.I.S.S.I.N.G line that is not at all matte and goes on smooth, leaving your lips incredibly moisturized and kissable. Love.
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Bronze & Glow Contour Duo—I’ll tell you what the lady at the Charlotte Tilbury counter told me: If you’re new to contouring, start here. You don’t need the big size one, and you don’t need a cream… yet. That’s for experts. If you’re a novice like me, stick with this. If you watched my IGTV video, you already know this is my first go-round with contouring, and it terrifies me. However, this little palette seems to be the perfect starting point, and I am loving it so far. I plan to keep playing until I find the perfect approach for me.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer (shade 5)—This is non-greasy, non-creasy concealer. The applicator wand is super easy to use, and I blend it all in with a beauty blender sponge.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation (shade 7)—I’ve been using this foundation for years now. It’s heavier than a tinted moisturizer but not FULL coverage, and it can be built upon. I love it and the finish it gives my face.
Laura Mercier Setting Powder in Honey—I had no idea Laura (we’re on a first name basis) had come out with two new shades in her setting powder. She only had the universal “translucent” shade for so long, but now that she offers Honey for olive skin tones, I am ON BOARD. Watch my Instagram Beauty highlight for a trick on how to keep your powder from spilling out!
NARS The Multiple—I’ve been using this as a cream blush since college. I just love the look of cream blush more than powder—it’s dewier and more natural looking, IMO. I use the shade “Portofino.”
Maison Louie Marie No. 4 Eau de Parfum—If you’re familiar with the super famous Santal 33 Le Labo scent, buy this and thank me later for how dead-on of a dupe it is for a fraction of the cost. Every time I wear it, girls wonder out loud if it’s Le Labo, and I proudly say “NO. It ISN’T. Because I’m too POOR to AFFORD that.” It’s a rush. But for real, Maison Louie Marie No. 4 is incredible. Then again, with Sandalwood, Vetiver and Amber Wood scents, what else do you expect?
Charlotte Tilbury Brow Gel in Super Star—I was a Glossier girl for a long time, until Charlotte lured me over. I love this brow gel so, so much. The wand is super fine, so with a light hand, you get a more athletic brow look than super sculpted (which I hate). This shit is the tits.
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Bonder—Do. Do believe the hype! When I got color in my hair back in August, I was told to finally buy into the Olaplex fad and get the No. 3 to use once a week on my hair. So I did, and I can honestly say it makes a difference. My curls feel stronger and my hair feels healthier from it. I use it religiously just once a week and leave it on for 20-30 minutes before shampooing!
Charlotte Tilbury Power and Sculpt Brush—I also went ahead and got this specific brush to use for my contouring and highlighting! It’s a steep price, but with a bit of a discount, I feel it’s worth it!
Charlotte Tilbury’s Super Nudes Easy Eyeshadow Palette—I’ve been using my NAKED palette form Urban Decay for YEARS NOW and figured it’s time for an update that matches my grown up aesthetic. I love that this palette comes with just 6 basic, straightforward shades to do just about anything to your eyelids. It’s classy yet pretty (like me) (*farts*).
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask—Again, do. Do believe the hyper! I got my jar back in April and use it every. single. night. And day, actually. All the time. I love this stuff and it comes in so many different flavors now!!! Fun.
Youth To The People’s Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil—This shit sounds amazing. I am buying it during this sales event and am very excited. The ratings are fantastic and thorough, and that’s all I need to give this a try. Obviously will report back.
Youth To The People’s Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi—I have no idea what those words are either, but I’m buying the mini size of this to give it a try. My skin is combo/on the drier side, and once again, the reviews are wildly good. So I’m going to see if I love this, then invest in the larger size if so!
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Love Bite—Ellen is copying me, but going for the same lipstick in Love Bite which happens to be a warmer red with an orange undertone. So if that’s your thang, follow Ellen’s lead.
NARS Radiant Concealer in “Canelle”—There are over 30 shades to choose from so you’re perfectly matched, plus this concealer comes as a mini if you wanna dip your toe into the NARS water but aren’t ready to dive in! I love a mini.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light—Hourglass can do no wrong. Their products are always top of the line, and this bronzer is no exception. This particular shade offers a “candlelit” warmth, which makes sense since Ellen is always saying her best lighting is by candle.
Laura Mercier’s Glow Brush—In Ellen’s words: “Getting this to apply luminous powders, bronzer, highlighter, etc. Unique shaped brush made to hug all your face contours, and it's synthetic!”
ALTERNA Haircare CAVIAR Anti-Aging Multiplying Volume Shampoo—Ellen’s hair is super fine, and she loves this stuff. “It gives my hair real volume and body,” she claims.
tarte’s Tartlette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette—”Pretty nudes and neutrals in a good color range, not just beiges!” Plus, this thing has 3k reviews and almost a 5-star rating, sooooo…
NEST Blue Cypress and Snow Candle—A new wintertime candle from NEST? Yes, PLEASE.
PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish Highlighter & Balm Duo—Allie turned me onto this back in April and I got it and it’s fabulous. Use the highlighter to highlight (obvi) and the balm for that touch of dew to those cheeks. Love love love this stuff.
Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil—As she’s growing twins (!!!), my sis knows a thing or two about stretch marks, and she claims this stuff works wonders on them. “Feels luxurious to apply, and it smells like heaven!”
Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil—This is a rebalancing face oil to moisturize skin and leave it feeling like silk. Allie loves the stuff, and says if you put it on and immediately pet your dog afterwards, they’ll smell like it and it’s fantastic! So, don’t forget to pet your pet as a part of this application process.
Clarins Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate—Clearly, Allie is a Clarins girl through and through. She says this adds a lovely glow to the skin and is refreshment in a bottle. Also, no surprise here but… it smells good!
Ouai Thick Hair Conditioner—Allie’s hair is THICC. She used to have the most gorgeous curls before she was a fool and started getting her hair treated with straightening stuff, but that’s neither here nor there. She loves this Ouai conditioner for thick hair and says it works wonders! And she also loves their detoxing shampoo for those wash days where you really need to get in there and get it all out. Also, guess what she said about both? THEY SMELL GOOD.
NEST Holiday & Birchwood Pine Candle Set—This is the perfect “one for me, one for you” holiday gift. Order it now, keep one of these stunning candles for yourself, and gift it up come the holidays! Genius, right? Only Allie would think of this brilliant move.
That’s all, my beauty queens. I hope you found this somewhat extensive list somewhat helpful. Happy shopping and beautifying!
