What We Loved From Amazon In July

It’s… August??? The last 5 months have both crawled and flown by. I want to say how proud I am of all of us for enduring what will hopefully be the weirdest, most twisted moment of our lives. I can’t wait to write what’s sure to be the most epic blog post recapping 2020 come this December. There’s just so much to reflect on and to say.

Until then, though, let’s go over what Amazon/EmmaZon finds you guys were high on in July! I’m also going to take this opportunity to share a few things I ordered that I maybe didn’t share or draw much attention to.

1. THE BLUE DRESS

I posted a dress I got from Zara at the end of 2019 that’s no longer available, and y’all freaked. So my mom helped me find a SUPER similar one via Amazon and, again, y’all freaked! It’s a great, happy, airy, perfect end-of-summer dress to have on deck.

2. portable laptop stand

I’ve had this thing for-eh-ver. I love that you can collapse it in one hand and throw it in your purse or bag to bring with you wherever. It’s a simple thing that is so helpful in terms of keeping your laptop from overheating and sounding like it’s about to take off into space.

3. silicone face and body brushes

I am so obsessed with this small, cheap AF purchase. I’ve been using both of them religiously—on my face and body—and LOVE them. My skin legitimately feels smoother and way cleaner than before when I simply used my hands like a fool. Plus, the big body brush is lovely since loofahs are fluffy, somewhat scratchy balls of bacteria!

5. maui curl quench conditioner

For $6, this is one of the most legit conditioners I’ve ever used. I love it—the smell, the effect, the everything.

6. not your mother’s curl cream

The best styling product I’ve found in YEARS. If you have curly hair, you know the struggle of finding the perfect product, and this is it. For now, anyway. It’s subject to change at any given moment.

7. laptop sleeve & stand

The silver laptop stand is fantastic for sitting at your desk at home, but this laptop sleeve that DOUBLES as a stand is even better. The brown leather is super chic and folding it up into a stand takes 4 seconds and is so insanely convenient!

8. the green lipstick

I’ve been posting about this for YEARS, and y’all are still buying it, which makes me very happy. It’s the cheapest stuff ever and the perfect shade of pink (not green). It’s aloe-based and works with your skin chemistry to produce the perfect shade of pink for your lips. HOW?!

9. resistance bands

The best pack of resistance bands for $12. Comes with x-light, light, medium, heavy, x-heavy!

10. pretty pillbox

Have pills and vitamins to take but want to be discreet and chic about it? This is the answer. I have the rose gold and have been using it for 6+ months now. It’s a pretty way to swallow your medicine, that’s for sure.

OTHER THINGS I BOUGHT

Here are other things I got during July that I’ve yet to push on you guys!

Rezamid Spot Treatment: My best friend who has the most incredible skin ever has been using this forever. Like, I remember when we were freshman in college rooming together, staring at her face covered in little dots of this stuff every night. I don’t know why it took me so long to get on board, but I’m here and I love it. It truly works—just remember to SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE.

The Office Book: My parents actually got this for me for my birthday back in April, but I didn’t pick it up until recently. I’m realizing more every day how wildly obsessed I am with this show and learning every little BTS thing I can about it. This book is incredibly in-depth and the author recorded hours of interviews with the cast, production staff, NBC execs—all of it. HIGHLY recommend if you love The Office as much as I do.

Microfiber Hair Towels: The only kind I’ll use on my curls, so I decided it was time to re-up since I only have one!

Ray-Bans: I lost these last year because I’m bad at sunglasses and decided I want them again. I’ve been using other sunglasses ever since as punishment, but it was finally time to swallow my pride and re-purchase the pair I love so much. Plus, the gold/green was $12 less on Amazon versus buying them from Ray-Ban or Nordstrom, sooooo.

Trader Joe’s Jelly Beans: My sister has been raving about these and says they’re superior to your everyday jelly bean, so I have a bag coming my way this weekend and am oddly very excited to test her theory.

Olaplex No. 3: I’ve yet to succumb to the Olaplex bandwagon, but after my hair color-treated for the first time in my life this week, I decided using the No. 3 every now and again to protect my precious locks and seal in that color and moisture couldn’t hurt. So, I got the 3.3 fl. oz. of Olaplex No. 3 and we will see what happens!
