What I Wore For Our Engagement Pictures
Professional pictures make me incredibly nervous. I feel like they either turn out REALLY well or REALLY bad and make you question your entire being. Luckily, one of my best friends is really getting her photography business going and offered to shoot Zac and me as an engagement present, so I knew we were in great hands and I could count on her to capture our good sides.
I knew right away that I wanted to have a fall wedding, so before we even officially booked the venue and our date, I decided our engagement pictures should have a fall vibe to them. It only seemed right. I went back and forth on what sort of look to go for (basically either a dress or jeans and a top), and ended up wearing one and packing the other in the car just in case I changed my mind halfway through the shoot!

It was important for me to feel 100% comfortable in whatever it was that I wore so I wasnβt focused on sucking in or posing just right in my outfit. Thatβs why this plaid, off-the-shoulder dress from Beatnik was the perfect fall engagement shoot look! Itβs such a pretty but insanely comfortable dress, so I got the best of both worlds. I paired it with another Beatnik special, the Billini Camille Western boot as a nod to the βbridal whiteβ and also maybe a little bit to Texas (but only a very little bit).
Zac wore his new mens green utility jacket from J.Crew with an Alex Crane tee, fitted jeans, and his leather desert boots by Clarks, and I 100% wanted to eat his face as evidenced in this picture.
For the tiny details, my lipstick was Jungle Red by NARS, and my fun bracelets are by a local jeweler, Made By SGK!
