Amazon Favorites, September
Amazon, Amazon. What would we do without ye? Have to wait more than 1-2 days for things? NO THANKS. I always love seeing others’ Amazon round-ups, and inevitably get inspired to share my own, so let’s go over what I ordered to my house last month, shall we?
As I’ve gotten deeper and deeper into the journey that is perfecting curly hair, the deeper and deeper into all the tips and tricks I’ve gotten, too. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase is not new news; people have been doing it and suggesting you do it for years. I just simply didn’t give in because I’m stubborn. However, I decided if I was really going to lean into doing everything I can to retain my curls, I had to go the silk pillowcase route, so I did! I got this pack of two in Beige and have zero complaints so far!
Do you you have a shoe tray near your front or back door? Well, maybe you should. I’ve been meaning to get one for forever, but it’s one of those things that slips your mind constantly. But, after my sneakers started piling up near my front door the last few months, I finally remembered to add one to cart. Be sure to measure the area first so you get an appropriately sized one! I got the small because my damn door stop ruins everything, but it fits 2-3 pairs so that’s great!
In case you missed it, I asked my followers to send me their #1 underwear rec then compiled every single one into a big blog post. I’m still unable to decide which ones I want, so I decided to order Amazon’s Essentials for now and they’re fantastic. I got the Neutral Mix set in a small, and they are a perfect, minimal, straightforward undie. I’ll be getting others from my big list, but these are great for now.
In my obsessive curly hair rabbit holes, I read about leave-in spray conditioner and decided I needed some. I’ve only ever used a cream kind you have to work in, never a spray. So I got Briogeo’s (which is a black female founded and owned brand!), and it’s incredible. I’m obsessed. I love it. It’s perfect.
Another revelation in terms of curly hair—rewetting it with water from a legitimate spray bottle. Whatchu know about that fine mist? Well, you’re about to know a lot if you add this guy to your rotation.
Do you get pimples? Do you have zits? Are you on the hunt for a spot treatment the works? My best friend (who has the most perfect skin) has been using Rezamid for YEARS. Like 20+ years, and swears by it. I just started using it last month and also love it. Get some, shake it up good, and spot treat the shit out of your face.
If you don’t already have a designated area for your spice, consider a lazy susan spice rack. It is game changing. That is all.
If you have some wall space you want to spruce up but are stuck on what to spruce them up with, have I got the solution for you. FLOATING SHELVES! I got these babies last month and they transformed my bedroom wall instantly. Easy to install and easy to love.
Something else I’ve been meaning to get FOREVER is a contraption like this to keep all my cookware in order. I’m so glad I finally did. It really beats having to crouch down and awkwardly (and LOUDLY) maneuver everything around to find the damn pan or lid I’m looking for.
These rugs are such an easy, cheap way to dress up a small area of your home. Or cover something up that you don’t want exposed. Whatever your reason may be, let this sheepskin rug do its thing. I got the 2x6 for the area under my media console, but there are lots of size options so be sure to measure your space before you order!
If you’re still hanging around your home with tv, computer, random charging cords out and about for teh world to see, WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?! Change your life and the way the world perceives you RIGHT NOW but ordering a cable cord hiding box and witness the magic of these small boxes.
Unwilling to pay the price for AirPods but desperately want/need a pair of wireless ear buds? Look no further. I got these for my boyfriend in September (because he almost exclusively talks on speakerphone) and as someone who could never find a well-fitted, high-quality ear bud, he said these are amazing! They’re totally sound-proof, too, easy to set up, and the sound quality is pretty impressive. Highly suggest!
