13 Recent Amazon Purchases I’m Loving
Tell me if I’m alone in this. You think of something you need, order it from Amazon, and not 2 minutes later, remember something else you need and place another order from Amazon. This goes on until you die and have 100 separate Amazon boxes on your front porch at all times.
I can’t help it! I should keep a running master list of everything I need to order soon, but my brain just doesn’t work like that when it comes to Amazon. To me, Amazon purchases are in the moment. I remember it, I want it, I buy it. All that to say, I’m constantly getting one off packages delivered and wanted to share some of my favorite Amazon purchases of the last month or so.
Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Curl Cream
I know the majority of my audience doesn’t have curly hair. But it’s important to me that you witness the trials and tribulations we coiled up girls face day in and day out. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect styling product since I was 14. No shit. I find one I love and that works for a while, then it’s either discontinued OR my hormones change my curls a bit, so I’m back to square one. Long story short: This is the product I’m swearing by right now. I love the smell, the hold, and the weight of it. I work it into my curls while they’re soaking wet, let it hair dry, then scrunch the crunch out.
2. Maui Moisture Curl Quench + Coconut Oil Conditioner
I also changed up my shampoo and conditioner game over the last month. I saw a girl on Instagram with curl goals using this Maui conditioner and bit. I love it! It smells like vacation and my hair has been feeling very hydrated as of late. Plus, it’s $7!
3. Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo
I saw the same girl saying she had used the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo, so went ahead and ordered that from Amazon, too. It’s so refreshing and legitimately makes your scalp tingle (and your who-ha if it accidentally runs down there). I swear by tea tree for various things when it comes to my skin and beauty, so this was a no-brainer. It’s a simple, straightforward yet effective shampoo!
4. Fake Makeup Kit for Toddlers
Such a random item to list, I know, BUT—I know a good amount of Mamas follow me, so I wanted to share it. I bought this for my niece (best friend’s daughter) who just turned two and is obsessed with makeup, and she LOVES this toy! It comes packed with so many fakeup pieces and my best friend tells me they play with it daily.
5. Sally Jessy Raphael Blue Light Blocking Glasses
Red is my favorite color (behind grey). I wanted a pair of blue light blocking glasses with red frames because why not and found these guys on Amazon. I call them my Sally Jessy Raphael glasses and wish I had a tabloid talk show to host while wearing them, but I’ll settle for talking gossip at my computer with them on.
Like so many, I’ve really upped my indoor plant game during this pandemic and realized I needed to be cute and get a legit indoor watering can for my plants rather than filling up a random cup of water over and over again. I love this guy so much—he’s perfect.
7. Bar Cart
So here’s the deal: Since I moved into my place a year ago, I’ve been using my desk as a bar cart and my dining table as a desk. This week, though, I rearranged it all. My desk is now my desk and my dining table is still my dining table, and it’s now time for a real bar cart. I was going to go super basic with a gold/mirrored situation (which I still might if I don’t love what I got), but found this super fun mint green one that spoke to my personality and aesthetic much more. I cannot wait to get it, assemble it, and see what I think. I know it only has 1 star on Amazon, but it has way more on Target (it was just cheaper on Amazon).
8. Jenga
I’m not sure why I haven’t had Jenga in my possession before now, but oh well. It’s proven to be the perfect quarantainment. It’s such a classic game, and so fun to play by yourself or with a buddy. Plus, you can write rules on each block with a sharpie and make a drinking game out of it! A STRONG SELLING POINT.
9. Made In Italy Morelli Pasta
Y’all please. I wrote about this pasta last month, but I don’t think any of you are hearing me. American-made pasta makes you feel like shit 9 times out of 10 because it’s full of preservatives and things that Italian pasta isn’t. My guy heard about this Morelli stuff on a podcast and ordered a bunch, so handed some off to me and y’all. It’s SO GOOD. Not only are the flavors of the pasta phenomenal (garlic basil, truffle, squid ink, the list goes on!), but you feel light afterwards. No stomach issues, no heaviness. They have so many flavors, so be sure to check them all out!
10. Colander
I needed a serious upgrade and the fun green handles on this colander stuck out to me. It’s stainless steel, dishwasher safe, and $9?! Sold.
11. Dog/Kiddie Pool
I did it. Finally, after 3,000 years of living in Texas, I invested in a baby/dog pool. It just arrived this week and I’ve yet to put it into action, but you bet your ass there will be photographical evidence of it on my Instagram this weekend. My sister and her wife have the same one and suggested it, so I know it’s gonna be great. I can’t wait and neither can Cece (even though she has no idea what’s coming).
12. Clear Phone Case
Because I got a new phone, it was time for a new phone case. The 11 Pro iPhone comes in a midnight green, so I obviously got that and needed a clear case to show off the green, so that’s what I got! I love it. Super simple and a soft case, but is lifted every so slightly around the edges to protect the screen if (and when) I drop it.
13. iPhone Tripod
I’ve become somewhat of a self portrait professional thanks to using a tripod with a bluetooth remote at all times. I recently had to upgrade because the one I’ve had for years was falling apart. I got this guy and he’s spectacular! Super sturdy, very easy to setup and use, and I love the remote it comes with. It’s such a simple system to use to get the exact kind of pictures you’re going for, trust!
