What to Wear to Your Bachelorette Party in Mexico

If I never order another white article of clothing again, it’ll be too soon.

Don’t get me wrong—assuming the role of bride-to-be these past several months has had its moments, but all told, it’s stressful. You want to have the perfect everything for every wedding occasion, which means you’re in for a lot of browsing, buying, and returning if you’re anything like me.

If I wanted to and was up for it, I absolutely could tell you the exact amount of white clothing items I’ve purchased and returned over the last month or so, but we don’t need that negativity here. Let’s focus on the good stuff—the stuff I kept.

My best friends and I are heading to Mexico (Isla de Mujeres to be exact) this week for my bachelorette party, and I finally feel totally prepared outfit-wise. From bachelorette party white dresses and white swimsuits, to bridal cover-ups and white short sets, me and mine are COVERED.

  1. I tend to stay away from form-fitting, bodycon dresses because my stomach is my biggest problem area. However, there is something magical about this L*SPACE Nico dress that makes me feel brave enough to wear it. The material is slightly ribbed making it a bit thicker than you probably assume, so it’s not see-through. You don’t need a bra with it but if you prefer one, I would try boob tape or nipple stickies. Besides that, it’s perfection and so sexual. I love it so much, I treated myself to a black one as well. 100/10 recommend! I took a Large. SHOP IT

  2. This dress is what boho bride dreams are made of. The Free People Linda Lou Poplin dress is not at all form-fitting (except for the chest), has the perfect floral design, features a romantic puff sleeve and tie-back and HAS POCKETS. I love it so much and hope I get the opportunity to wear it in Mexico. If not, I’ll be wearing it this fall with a jean jacket. I took a Small (Free People always runs big). SHOP IT

  3. This cute little number is by Madewell, and I think I’ll wear it on the plane ride down! It’s extremely comfortable and very flattering. I love the tiers, the eyelet details, and the tie-straps. It’s just a very easy, feminine white dress for brides-to-be IMO! I took a Small (Madewell always runs big). SHOP IT

  1. White swimsuits are HARD. Finding these three took me fucking forever. The first one is a Good American Always Fits one-piece that’s super simple, but very flattering. It has a low back, a sexy low neck, adjustable straps, and the fabric itself is incredibly stretchy and adheres to your body in all the right ways. I love it and feel great in it. I got size 3/4. SHOP IT

  2. I discovered the swim line called Citrine over the course of my desperate hunt for white bridal bikinis. This cream and white bikini was my first big win in terms of a 2-piece. I found the bottoms first on Free People (called ‘Dakota’), but they’re no longer available there or on Citrine. However, they have some in the same pattern that are maybe even more flattering (called ‘Izzy’). The top I found on Citrine (called ‘Kali’). I took a Large in the top and a Medium in the bottoms. SHOP TOP, SHOP BOTTOM.

  3. My all white bikini is also Citrine! The top is the Ebby Top and I took an XL because these honkers are not fun to figure out with underwire bikini tops. The bottoms are the Izzy style and I took a Medium! SHOP TOP, SHOP BOTTOM.

  1. I mean, how could I NOT get this shimmery cover-up from Lulu’s? After all, this is my last hurrah as a true GOLDEN girl so it just felt highly appropriate. It’s super fucking cute on, very flattering. I might get crazy and wear a slip underneath for future looks, who knows. I took a Medium! SHOP IT

  2. I’ve had these white swim cover-up bottoms from Target for a few months now; I took them along our summer vacation and rocked them by the pool! They’re super cheap and really easy to wear. I took a Medium! SHOP THEM

  3. Of course, I needed a sarong and this was another Lulu’s find. I loved the pattern a lot, and it’s exactly enough to throw on at the pool or beach! I got the M/L. SHOP IT

  1. I felt I really needed a white loungewear set to wear around the house we’re staying in and landed on this one from Amazon. I love a henley top so that was an easy sell, and the bottoms are super comfortable. It’s nothing wildly special, just exactly what I needed! I got the Medium. SHOP IT

  2. This set. I mean THIS. SET. God only knows how I came across it (it was a lot of browsing)—I’m just so glad I did. It is literal perfection. SO flattering, a great fit, and the cut on the top allows you to go braless or with-bra—dealer’s choice. I just love it so much and it comes in a ton of colors, so definitely check it out! I got the Medium. SHOP IT

  3. The very last piece of white bridal clothing for my bachelorette is sort of a stretch, but bear with me. I’m assuming there won’t be an appropriate occasion to wear this bodysuit with shorts, but JUST IN CASE THERE IS, it’s being packed. Not only that, it’s such a gorgeous piece that I will absolutely wear it another time (on our honeymoon perhaps?!). The sweetheart neckline is chef’s kiss and the sleeves are so feminine and soft. It’s truly lovely. I got the Large. SHOP IT
