2022 Gift Guide For Home

Countertop Griddle

Listen. I didn’t even know how much I needed this until I put in on our registry and got it. I hate making pancakes, tortillas, and really anything flat in a pan because I never have the room I need to get in there with a spatula and flip it right. This griddle has solved all those problems and is an amazing way to warm up tortillas for taco night!

Vitamix

I was happy with my Ninja blender for a long time. But I needed things to fill up our registry, so I decided to list this Vitamix to see if anyone bit. Well, my sister did and gifted it to us and it is quite incredible. It’s officially called the Explorian 10-speed blender and, while there are a ton of fancier Vitamixs out there, this does exactly what I needed it to, which blend the shit out of smoothies, soups, and more. You will not find one piece of uncrushed ice when you turn this baby on full speed. It’s an amazing gift!

Diptyque Scented Oval

I feel this is for the fancy homeowners who have it all. I love Diptyque everything, and these scented ovals are no exception. They are strong and work wonderfully as door hangers inside closets or rooms and are also amazing drawer companions. Instead of potpourri or whatever, give them one of these guys. Luxurious scents at their finest.

Parachute Sheet Set

I bought cheaper sheets for years until I gave in and got a set of these percale sheets by Parachute. They are exceptional. Great quality, great feel, wash up great, too. I LOVE that you can choose side opening or back envelope opening for the pillow cases, too (back envelope for life!) Gifting a newlywed couple or new homeowners a set of these for Christmas is a clutch move, and they’ll be so thankful.

Wood Salad Servers

I put these on our registry and we got them! I am obsessed and have already used them 4x at least. I love making salad and dressings from scratch and wanted an updated serving set for exactly that. They function as they should and look super chic, too.

Anthro Faux Fur Blanket

This was another wedding registry request we had fulfilled, and I live under this blanket now (so does Bowie). I don’t know why I was drawn to the blue, but I’m glad it’s what I asked for because it’s gorgeous and adds a subtle pop of color to our living room. If I could have one in every color, that’d be swell and our dogs would be in cozy, comfy heaven. Maybe one day.

Rocks Glasses

These are so inexpensive but look elegant as hell. They’re the perfect size and girth, too—you can really wrap your paw around them as you sip on your whiskey.

High Ball Glasses

These are the matching high ball glasses we also got. I served us our favorite margaritas in these over the summer, and I swear the glass made them taste even better!

Rabbit Wine Opener

I have coveted the Rabbit Corkscrew for years but never got it. No idea why, but anyway—I have it now and it’s amazing! If you’re shopping for wine enthusiasts this year and they don’t already have one, now’s the time to shine.

Cordless Hand Mixer

For those moments they don’t want to necessarily get out the big KitchenAid Mix Master, the cordless hand mixer does just fine. I, for whatever reason, didn’t already one so it was a registry present and I could kick myself for not having one as long as I didn’t. It’s perfect for so many things and the bakers in your lives will appreciate it so much.

Cuisinart 7 Quart Crockpot

This is the real deal. Forgot all those tiny crockpots from your college days; we’re older, wiser, and hungrier now and maybe have more mouths to feed, so it’s 7 quarts or bust. This one has four different cooking options: slow cook, roast, brown/saute, and steam. It couldn’t be easier to use or a nicer gift to add to someone’s kitchen!

Mandoline Slicer

As much as I love chopping and dicing, sometimes I need some extra help and I know all home cooks can attest. A good mandoline is invaluable in the kitchen, and this one by OXO is fantastic. It has a kickstand to hold itself in place so all you have to worry about is slicing your veggies and going slow enough that you don’t cut yourself!

Boy Smells Cedar Stack candle

Forget the puny 8.5oz. We’re going big for this gift and doing the 27oz. Zac and I have this and every time we light it before company comes over, they always comment on how good the scent is. It fills up the whole house and provides that subtle yet effective scent of cedar, white musk, juniper berry, and just a hint of sawdust (no, really). It’s cozy, warm, and fuzzy in a candle.

Salt and Pepper Containers

I walked by these 100 times at Target before realizing how useful they might be. For someone who cooks often, having two big vats of salt and pepper at-the-ready on the counter is a GAME CHANGER. I was using small bottles forever until I got these, and the fact that I can so easily dip a measuring spoon into the canister has been the greatest gift I’ve given myself. Plus, they’re super cute.

Lorenzo Extra Virgin Olive Oil set

During our honeymoon adventure, Z and I’s tastebuds were introduced to the best EVOO we’ve ever tasted, Lorenzo No. 5. Once again, we thought we were onto something special until we got home and realized you can buy it from several places, including Amazon. It’s the smoothest, purest oil I’ve ever had, and Amazon sells a motherfucking GIFT SET of all three variations: No. 1, No. 3. and No. 5 (our favorite). This is an epic gift to give to those hard-to-buy-for people or the foodies in your life!
