10 Things I’m Legit Thankful For

That last week, when I was on an Orange Theory treadmill and involuntarily farting, they didn’t smell at all.

Seriously, big ups to whoever’s in charge because my love affair with Orange Theory may have been incredibly short-lived.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

It truly is the most magical foundation I’ve ever used. It’s somehow full coverage without looking like you have anything on. Don’t believe me? Ask my co-workers. They comment daily about my skin and when I tell them how broken out I currently am, they’re like HOW? WE CAN’T SEE ANYTHING.

Hot water

No but seriously. I love hot water so much? It’s a truly majestic thing. So, during the winter when my shower only reaches luke warm levels because my duplex is old as fuck, it’s basically my personal hell. Also, watching boiling hot water maximize your doing-the-dishes game is incredible. Sometimes, you don’t even need soap or a brush. THE HOT WATER TAKES CARE OF IT ALL.

Queso

It can literally cure anything. Hungry? Queso. Tired? Queso. Hungover? Queso. Just been dumped? Queso. Bad day? Queso. Great day? Queso. AND. AND. The best part? When you make it at home (with Velveeta and Rotel, the way God intended), it’s the gift that keeps on giving. You can take a queso break, and it’ll be there waiting for you to reheat it later. However, accidentally finishing an entire vat of it on your own is a high risk when you play this game (I would know).

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths

I tried Micellar water last year as a way to take off my makeup before washing my face, and it broke me the fuck out. Then, about two weeks ago, I was meandering through Target and spotted that Cetaphil seems to have come out with some makeup removing wipes. Cetaphil is one of the greatest lines for sensitive skin, so I grabbed a pack and lemme tell ya — I am PLEASED. Haven’t broken me out at all and get all my makeup off so my facial cleanser doesn’t have to work so hard.

Advil

I was talking about Advil with a coworker the other week. We were discussing our shared passion for it, and how we truly believe it cures ALL. I was raised to “take 3 Advil” for, well, everything. Headache? Advil. Cramps? Advil. Just feeling off but can’t put your finger on why? ADVIL. It will forever be my cure-all medicine of choice.

Robes

I just feel like robes are so under appreciated. I got this one from Nordstrom a few years ago, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I wear it every. single. day. Sometimes I even wear it to bed. I just love a good robe. I don’t want to be bothered to put real clothes when I wake up or get home or get out of the shower or any time, really. Robes are it, guys.

That I’m 31 and have no friend drama ever

It took a long time and a lot of shade and drama to get here, but I’M HERE. My best friends love, respect, and cherish each other and sure, we get frustrated with each other but it’s never more than an eye roll. I can’t remember the last time I had anxiety over friends, and that is something for which I am so thankful.

that netflix hasn’t taken off the office or parks and rec

Because, truly, I would die. I have rewatched both series an embarrassing and borderline psychotic amount of times. They’ve become my background noise. My comfort. My everything. So thank you, Netflix.

THIS GIRL

Ok, but in all actuality, I am beyond grateful for my family, friends, boyfriend, dog, job, and my health. Really, I’m just insanely grateful for how fucking solid 2018 was. FINALLY — a good year. Hopefully it finishes out strong, but until then, Happy Thanksgiving! And come back here this coming Sunday to check out my long-awaited 50 Gifts Under $50 gift guide. You don’t wanna miss it. Or maybe you do. IDK.
