2021 Gift Guide For Men
‘Tis the damn season! Every year, I drive myself to the brink curating gift guides for you guys in an effort to help your holiday shopping feel painless, effortless, and fun. The secret, though, is that I get 90% of my own shopping done while creating these guides, so it’s truly a joyous win-win for all!
Although this year’s 2021 gift guides are labeled, it’s merely for organization. No matter who you’re buying for, browse all six lists to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list and keep your mind open! Happy shopping!
green utility jacket
This is just one of those items I feel all male closets should have inside of it. Zac isn’t big on jean jackets because, as he says, of the youth pastor vibes, so this gorgeous green utility jacket was a perfect alternative. It’s very attractive and even has a hood!
cotopaxi fleece
Z and I just discovered Cotopaxi within the last year and were immediate converts. Not only is their stuff badass, but they run their business in very philanthropic ways. If your man isn’t afraid of color, consider gifting him one of the many Cotopaxi fleeces online. Tons of colorways, tons of styles. You can’t go wrong! OR! If he’s more of a hat guy, the Cotopaxi beanies are the perfect weight and come in basic colors that go with everything.
greg allman's memoir
If your recipient is into rock docs or have a long-time obsession with the Almost Famous movie, they may really love this memoir written by none other than Greg Allman himself. Lots of “mans,” lots of drugs, lots of stories from the good old days of true rock and roll. Zac ate it up!
sleeping mask
Not just any sleeping mask, though. I saw my internet friends, Our Time of the Month, talk about this mask and was instantly intrigued. It’s a 100% blackout for the best and deepest sleep, totally adjustable size-wise, and puts zero pressure on the eyelids so you can actually blink and sink your face into it. I want it.
desert boots
Who doesn’t love a man in desert boots during the fall and winter? These from Everlane are as attractive as they come in regards to desert boots, AKA chukka boot. It’s like a cooler, elevated sneaker, ya know? It does say they run large and to size down by half, so keep that in mind if you end up ordering them for your boo!
luxe flannel shirt
So, we stumbled upon this brand called Portugese Flannel in Maine and Z ended up getting two because they were seriously incredible. They’re the perfect weight—not so heavy that you can’t move, but heavy enough. They’re also insanely soft to the touch and the patterns they’re available in are fun and attractive. Oh! And they’re sustainable, slow fashion. Love it. We also found these cashmere sweaters by Alex Mill, and Z hasn’t stopped wearing his green one. If your man is in the market for some luxe sweaters, these are it!
Whiskey Stones
A cute stocking stuffer that’s both fun and functional for the brown liquor drinkers in the household. Simply keep the cubes in the freezer and use 2-3 in your Old Fashioned! Rinse off and start over.
hasty bake
I don’t know much about Hasty Bakes, but what I do know is that they are beloved and probably a really great gift for the man in your life who loves to grill and cook and do all the things in a hasty manner. Yes, this 30-pound grill was designed with competition cooks in mind, but also for a low-maintenance grill option for the common-folk.
front pocket wallet
Z actually found this at a store in Maine, and it’s very cool. It’s designed like it is to fit comfortably in a man’s front pocket so he no longer has to sit on his wallet constantly and suffer sciatic nerve pain from it, a la George Costanza. It’s made from genuine leather, has a full bill section, and can hold up to six cards.
frozen beer pints
10000000% getting these for Zac. He complains often that we don’t have frozen mugs, then tries to get a pint glass cold in a short amount of time. With these, they’ll always be ready in the freezer, awaiting a cold beer! I’m so pumped to give these to him. Of course, Rabbit makes them so you know they’re gonna be legit.
topo designs fleece
If ya man’s isn’t really into all the bright color that Cotopaxi offers, a Topo Designs Pullover Fleece is always a surefire bet. They’re really attractive jackets and very reasonably priced, too!
Jack Black Protein Booster Skin Serum
Some men are into skincare, most aren’t. Z is the type who would wash his entire body, face, and hair with the same soap and call it a day. However, my friend Erik wrote about this skin serum for men in my latest Sephora post, and methinks I’m going to get some for Z’s stocking. What’s the harm in keeping your skin youthful, ya know?!
sweat shorts
This is personal preference, but I love sweat shorts on men. I mean, MEOW. These two faded colors from Madewell are very cute, and you can go all out and get the matching zip hoodie, too if you’re feeling wild. The shorts themselves will suffice, though.
loftie alarm clock
Help him break up with his phone alarm once and for all with this incredibly sleek alarm clock called Loftie. It has a dimmable display, a nightlight, a two-phase alarm, built-in bluetooth so he can play his own tunes, a white noise and nature soundscape option, and a whole lot else. Plus, it’ll look so good in the bedroom!
lululemon tech gloves
Practical but necessary. Men can be stubborn, and that includes not wearing or forgetting to grab gloves when they leave the house during the winter. These lululemon City Keeper gloves are water-repellent, insulated, and have tech-friendly fingertips so he can text you back faster.
