2021 Gift Guide For Home

‘Tis the damn season! Every year, I drive myself to the brink curating gift guides for you guys in an effort to help your holiday shopping feel painless, effortless, and fun. The secret, though, is that I get 90% of my own shopping done while creating these guides, so it’s truly a joyous win-win for all!

Although this year’s 2021 gift guides are labeled, it’s merely for organization. No matter who you’re buying for, browse all six lists to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list and keep your mind open! Happy shopping!

kitchen aid stand mixer

If you or someone deserving you know don’t have a stand mixer, ‘tis the season. Right now. It’s the greatest kitchen contraption ever invented, and I would trust it with my first born if needed. Truly the best investment you will ever make if you ever even kind of bake or cook.

Trio of Knives

Full disclosure: I definitely got these gifted to be by Material, but I kid you not when I say they’re the only knives I use anymore. For $155, you get an 8” chef’s knife, the 4” paring knife, and a 6” serrated knife. 18 inches of expert cutting. If you know someone who just moved and is in need of a legitimate kitchen setup, this is the perfect gift!

nespresso vertuo & frother

I mean, you saw this coming. If you have someone on your list who loves coffee (and not just eh coffee, but like good coffee) and who isn’t opposed to pod machines, for the love of GOD, gift them this. I’ve never had better coffee (not at home, at least). It has saved us so much time and money, and it’s a perfect cup every time. There are espresso pods, full coffee pods, cortado pods, double espresso pods, decaffeinated pods… the list goes on! I got the Bodum frother for $30, and it’s perfect, too. Such a clutch gift!!!

great jones holy sheet

My mom gifted me these for Christmas last year, and I haven’t baked anything on anything else since. For color lovers, the Great Jones Holy Sheet is the happiest, best Christmas gift. They also come in a smaller size, known as Little Sheets. Plus, all of Great Jones stuff is amazing so just buy it all.

the always pan & perfect pot

The Always Pan made waves in kitchens across the world last year, and as an owner of one myself, I can attest to it being the best pan ever. I use it almost every single time I cook, no lie. It’s amazing and cleans up so well. Our Place also just rolled out their “Perfect Pot,” and if it’s anything like the pan, it really probably is perfect. I want one!

estelle colored glasses

These are on MY personal list, IF ANYONE I KNOW WHO WOULD BE BUYING ME A PRESENT IS READING. IDK what color, I just know I’ve been coveting Estelle Colored Glasses for the last year and I really, really, really want some. They’re stunning, they’re fun—what more do you need?!

the faux fur blanket

This blanket has been a part of my gift guides for the last few years because it’s an incredible, high-quality staple that never disappoints. It’s the softest thing ever and looks lovely draped over your couch or bed. 10/10 recommend getting one for yourself and one for a lucky someone this holiday!

another faux fur blanket

If neutral blanket colors aren’t what you’re looking to gift, these tie-dye ones from Anthro are just as incredible. In fact, I will be ordering us the green one because, well, I can and I want to. For the more colorful people, these faux fur blanket options from Anthro are a better bet, for sure.

Cookbook Stand

For the cooks!!! This cookbook stand from Crate and Barrel is everything. I love mine so much. It’s functional (obviously) and looks great out on the counter, which is a huge bonus. The splashguard is GENIUS. Genius, I tell you! Also, do a bundle gift and give them the best cookbook every: Skinnytaste’s Meal Prep cookbook.

west elm smoked tonka candle

This is another one that’s almost always on my gift guides because it’s seriously the most amazing smelling candle, and the container it comes in doubles as a piece of decor, which we love. It’s available in several sizes, so gift them the one that they deserve the most. The scent truly fills the entire house and is heavenly.

snooz white noise machine

This white noise machine is aesthetically pleasing, AND you can control it via an app, which is pretty stellar. I’ve had one for a while now, and just find it to be the most effective white noise machine. It can be loud as fuck, which is great if you’re trying to drown out the demons. But seriously.

office chair

If you or someone you know works from home full-time now, an elevated office chair could be a perfect gift. Of course, you need to know their style pretty well, but I’m writing these guides with the mindset that you’re probably making a list for yourself and you should probably tell whoever needs to know that you need this chair. That’s all.

dyson vacuum

You want a big ticket item? You GOT a big ticket item. Listen, I knew nothing about this machine until I moved in with Zac who just so happened to have one. It’s life changing, period. PERIOD. Put it on your list or “buy it for your husband” knowing damn well it’s for you. Regardless, it is a Christmas gift worthy of every penny, and Christmas only comes once a year, amiright?

agate cheeseboard

Yo, this shit is so pretty. If you’re totally stumped on WTF to get an in-law or friend who’s particular AF, get them one of these beauties. It’s just so damn pretty and makes charcuterie look even prettier, which I didn’t know was possible TBH.

gold picture frame

These are giving me very victorian vibes, and I love it. Get them one or the trio and fill them with the best pictures. Of course, please ensure it goes with their aesthetic first or that’s gonna be really awkward.

acrylic tray

I love Society6 for a number of reasons. No matter what someone’s interests are, you can find them something on this site. I was drawn to the acrylic trays this year. There are tons to pick and choose from, but I was very drawn to the Gucci one. Obviously. Also, if you wanna get really crazy tray-wise, this is the end-all be-all and I want it SO BAD.
