The Perfect Simple Salad Dressing
I was in charge of salad for Christmas this year, which sounds easy and like an afterthought, but we all know there is a BIG difference between a so-so salad and a GREAT salad. I’m happy to report mine was PHENOM, and I owe it all to this incredibly simple salad dressing I found on a food blog called No Biggie. I used gorgonzola and pecans in my salad, so I was looking for a dressing that complimented both, thusly why the link takes you to a gorgonzola pear salad recipe. Ignore that and skip to the dressing because that’s the real takeaway, and it couldn’t simpler to put together.
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon of mustard (I used spicy brown, but whatever works here!)
1 clove garlic minced (or 1/8 tsp garlic powder)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Put all ingredients into a salad dressing container, tupperware, or whatever you want to store it in. Close the lid and shake that shit up so it’s combined superbly. Pour on a salad and ENJOY!
