Is The Parachute Cloud Quilt Really That Great?

I HATE duvets.

I have hated them ever since my mom put one on my bed as a child.

They are annoying. They are fragile. They are temperamental. They take WAY too much work to wash and dry and reassemble. Bed should be easy and calming and peaceful—not a messy, complicated workout.

I know I’m being dramatic, but I just have never been on board with the whole down comforter insert + duvet combo. Alas, that’s what I moved into last April. I’m proud that I lasted almost a year and a half, TBH. But this summer has been so unforgivably hot, and I’m already a naturally warm-bodied person, and I think something is wrong with our AC, so I finally had enough and told Zac I HAD TO replace our current bedding situation and he obliged.

Thank God.

Now, I did my research. I asked YOU guys what YOUR favorite quilts are that aren’t too heavy but heavy enough that my fiancé who would sleep under 12 down comforters will be satisfied. Per usual, y’all delivered and the following were the top-mentioned quilts:

Parachute Cloud Cotton Quilt

Casaluna Target Quilt

Pottery Barn Linen Quilt

Muslin 365 Comfort

Parachute Linen Blanket

West Elm European Flax Linen Quilt

Brooklinen Quilt

The cloud cotton quilt from Parachute was BY FAR the #1 mention and, funnily enough, I already had it listed on our wedding registry. After seeing how much love this quilt got via my Instagram story request, the deal was sealed for me. And, while I was there (i.e. on the Parachute website), I decided to just go for it and update all of our bedding from our pillowcases and Euro shams to both our fitted and top sheet. I just went for it, guys.

We have a California King, and I got all white everything. Here’s the detailed breakdown of our new bedding:

Cloud Cotton Quilt in White

Percale Fitted Sheet in White

Percale Top Sheet in White

Percale Pillowcases in White, with Back Envelope opening (not side) (2 per pack)

Cloud Cotton Euro Shams in White (2 per pack)

I can honestly say that we have both fallen back in love with our bed. The percale material is so cozy and soft, and the Parachute cloud cotton quilt lives up to the hype and beyond. It’s legitimately like sleeping covered in fluffy clouds and is the perfect happy medium between something lighter but heavy enough to keep you warm throughout your beauty rest. I look forward to climbing into our new bedding every night, and it’s a beautiful feeling. 100/10 recommend getting the cotton cloud quilt if you’re in the market! Everyone should splurge on sleep.

As for the paintings, they are by a German artist, Tina Berning.

The colorful throw blanket is from Slow Down Studios. Be warned: You’ll want everything.

And lastly, the lumbar pillow is from Beatnik here in Dallas!
